Immigration

Estate Planning
We have found that there is an erroneous belief surrounding wills and estate planning. Most individuals think that they are planning for their demise or death and therefore put off doing something so “dismal”. A better view, and in our opinion a more correct one, is to look at preparing a will or estate plan as a means of planning for and supporting those that survive you. This step can actually serve as a gift that can ease some of the grief and stress of trying to determine what your desires were.
We start the Estate Planning process by assessing your long and short term goals in our initial consultation. This allows us to determine the best way to implement a program that will achieve the results that you desire.
As an additional service to our clients, we provide a complimentary one year storage of your Health Care Directive and Health Care Power of Attorney through a company called DocuBank. This service will permit hospitals to access your wishes and designations with a simple phone call.
Guardianship/Custody Matters
The term child custody can be further broken down into terms that shed additional light and provide a greater understanding of the respective parents rights and obligations with respect to their common child. We aid in child custody matters whether they are long term and arise from the divorce or death of a parent or short term as may occur when a custodial parent is traveling out of the country. We make sure the right documents and processes are followed to ensure that children are cared for in a manner intended by their custodial parent.
Tenant Law
Most law firms focus on protecting landlords and enforcing their rights. Our firm is committed to helping tenants understand their rights. This can include making sure the property is habitable, proper disclosures are provided prior to entry into the property and at times, the necessity to break a lease.
